Sahuarita Cotton Ranches Sold For 2 Million
Sahuarita Ranches near the Santa Cruz River bottom sold for about 2 million dollars in the county's largest real estate deal of its kind. Marley sold Sahuarita Ranches to Producers Cotton Oil Co of Phoenix, which then sold to Jack Harris. Harris plans to operate the 4700 acre farm, including a cotton gin and irrigation system. Marley has run the ranch since 1947 and previously sold holdings around Phoenix and the Canoa cattle ranch. Harris might expand into cattle, continuing ranching activity in the area since 1915.

Mine-Mill Phelps Dodge settle strike breaks logjam
