Basel reports say Nazi mass murderer Hans Walter Zech-Neumtwich escaped Braunschweig prison with girlfriend Margit Simnheuer and fled by plane to Basel and train into the interior. Police doubt they remain in Switzerland and consider South America or North Africa likely as destinations. Olivas Pair Cleared in Child Neglect Case After 45 Minute Verdict
A Tucson jury of four men and two women found Henry Olivas and Lupe Olivas not guilty of neglecting their 3 year old daughter Evelyn Marie after a 45 minute deliberation. The couple testified they treated burns and sought medical care as infection developed. They were arrested January 16 following Evelyn's release from Tucson Medical Center after a 24 day stay.

Girl Must Stand Trial In Murder Of Couple
Theresa Robi chand, 17, of Fresno California, must stand trial for the February murder of Mr and Mrs John Bertella near Apache Junction Arizona. She and her partner Herbert L Shockey 30 were charged after being captured March 21 in the Bertellas camper truck. Evidence cited includes her written statement forging Mrs Bertella name on seven ten dollar traveler’s checks and testimony placing her at the death scene. Bond set at 25000 later reduced to 5000.
