Black Siamese twins Linda and Brenda separated after 44 hour operation
Linda and Brenda McCall, almost 7 months old, were separated by 15 surgeons at North Shore University Hospital after being joined at the breastbone and rib margins. Doctors say they are first black Siamese twins successfully separated. The girls, born March 8, weighed about 14 pounds each, and the operation weighed heavily on their abdomen and respiration. The parents express happiness as the twins regain a near normal life.
