Plague closes Lassen park area after chipmunks test positive

The Manzanita Lake campground at Lassen Volcanic National Park is shut after bubonic plague was found in two chipmunks. The 183 campsites picnic area and boat launch are closed. Visitors are advised not to handle rodents or rest sleeping gear near burrows.
