Denver September 15. W N Freeman receiver for the Denver and Salt Lake railroad considers wage increases and changed working conditions after a conference with G W Anderson vice president of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and Fred W Lewis secretary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen. The officials presented a complaint that wages set by the railroad labor board were restored for engineers and other train service workers while other classes were ignored. Details of the conference were not disclosed.
Captain Sidney F. Mashbir formerly of Tucson, now in Tokyo, is reported safe after the quake. Relatives in Tucson had feared he was lost until a cablegram from his mother reached Charles F. Solomon with confirmation of his safety.

Two armed bandits forced Frank Fraiber and associates to open the Fraiber Jewelry Co safe and stole jewelry worth about 26 000 dollars and 500 in leash, binding the president and staff and later escaping. The incident occurred in Cleverland.
