Receivership fee dispute prompts cuts urged by judge

U S magistrate Richard Gormley urged four Phoenix receivership attorneys to cut their fees from 75 to 60 dollars an hour to reflect public interest and standards. The SEC questioned the bills totaling over ten thousand dollars for Combs Kyman Meyer and Holman with Ausberger at 50 an hour. Gormley recommended 50 dollars an hour for all, potentially freeing funds for depositor refunds in the defunct U S and Lincoln Thrift cases.
