Forest Fire Tragedy Plains Northwood Area

Northeastern Minnesota faced a sweeping disaster as forest fires on Saturday and Sunday left hundreds dead and thousands homeless. Reports indicate the toll could reach as high as 1660, with dozens of towns destroyed including Mooselake and Cloquet. Relief under Adjutant General W. F. Sheinow and Governor Burnquist is underway.
