An optimistic push urges establishing a military post at Tucson to support Nogales troops. Officers cite rail links and geography as making Tucson ideal for rapid deployment to El Paso, Calexico, and other fronts, while soldiers seek family accommodations and local economic benefits.

Four United States sailors died and about twenty five were injured when a Glacier crew launch, carrying 25 men from shore leave, was swept under the stern wheel of the river steamer Apache near San Francisco. The launch sank quickly after the paddle blade sheared off its stern, and tips say the Apache’s wheel had been kept turning after docking. Pred Wright was hospitalized. others were treated at Glacier facilities.

Army wallops Navy 15 to 0 before about 59 060 spectators at Polo Grounds New York Nov 25. West Point cadets marched on the field before the kickoff while Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels watched from a field box as midshipmen entered the stadium.
The Merchants and Miners Line steamer Powhatan, bound from Boston to Baltimore with 16 passengers and cargo, caught fire off Block Island. The crew reported the blaze in the forward hold and the vessel anchored at Block Island harbor, with plans to continue ferrying cargo once the fire was controlled after coast guard cutters reached the scene.
Atlantic City dispatch reports Secretary Lane articulates U S policy toward Mexico amid the Carranza revolution. He advocates aiding Mexico to govern, deterring banditry, and avoiding direct intervention while preserving U S rights and troops. Lane emphasizes humane relief, border security, and export taxes as part of a gradual approach.

Alabama soldiers marching from their camp on Third Avenue at 2 o'clock. Bricken and staff at the circus grounds. A dinner for Bricken and officers follows at 6:20 tomorrow. Thousands line the streets as Tucson welcomes the regiment.
About 300 workers including 70 electricians 100 carpenters and 136 miners walked off the job at New Cornelia Copper Company demanding a sliding wage scale tied to copper prices. No violence reported and ground troops ready if needed. Captain John C. Greenway and Mike Curley on site. Deputy Sheriff H. Harrison authorized to swear in 30 deputies. Electricians earned 35 dollars and 5.50 daily.
