EL PASO Texas November 11 former Villa soldiers who had served as customs guards in Juarez were ordered to the Juarez customs house and disarmed by the military Their places were taken by seven guards from Chi hua City yesterday One hundred and fifty customs guards and officers were disarmed during the night and early today General Francisco Gonzales commander of the Juarez garrison said the Villa troops loyalty to Carranza may be questioned and officials charged with permitting contraband goods to enter the border It is not believed arrests are connected with the disarming of Juarez guards
El Paso dispatch reports a Mexican courier sent from Chihuahua City to learn the fate of a group of Americans failed to return after ten days. Refugees fear the Americans and others were killed, and the State Department is making every effort to learn the truth of the Park or Parkland incident.
De facto government troops under General Murgia recaptured Parral and Santa Rosalia, according to a report received last night. The message signed Murgie stated these towns were retaken.
