Demonstrations sweep Berlin amid unrest as Social Democrats report protests. About twenty army deserters march through the capital, signaling tension as peace envoy talks near Hamburg and Stockholm.
Reports from Kiel via Copenhagen and the Exchange Telegraph say the entire German navy and much of Schleswig are in revolutionary hands. The news comes from Kiel and was transmitted to London from Copenhagen.
Allied forces report German retreat along the front of the first to fourth British armies. American troops enter Sedan west of the Meuse, have freed 2,606 civilians, taken 6,000 prisoners since Nov 1, and pushed four miles toward Sedan as French units advance with them. In Phoenix on November 7 incomplete returns show Thomas E. Campbell an African candidate ahead of Fred T. Colter for governor by about 500 votes. Democratic headquarters dispute the results, claiming Cholter wins by 300. Republicans concede the rest of the ticket. H. E. Matthews may upset C. O. Case for state superintendent. Complete returns are expected in days.
Early returning precincts show Campbell ahead by 476 votes with Colter claiming 140 vote lead. Returns from Apache Cochise Gila Graham Mohave and Yuma indicate narrowing margins as smaller precincts report, with remaining totals from Coconino Navajo Santa Cruz Yavapai and Maricopa.
