Kansas City dispatch reports Missouri State Relief Employment Bureau unable to supply more than 500 of 8000 requested to aid Kansas and Nebraska farmers in harvesting wheat. Idle men rounded up face arrest if not sent to fields or workhouse. Los Angeles charges of grand larceny against Margaret West for mortgaging property with horse and cow to obtain loans.

George Rhue of Tiffin Ohio sues the L and N railroad for 26000 damages claiming a New Orleans to Tiffin itinerary was not honored. He walked most of the way home after the New Orleans stamp failed and lost oil lease prospects valued at 16000. He paid 39.85 for a ticket and incurred debt while awaiting passage.
