Man travels to wed unseen bride in Maine based on ad
Wheeler of Maine answered a matrimonial advertisement in a Maine paper and traveled about five hundred miles to Arkansas ville to wed a widow. After meeting, the widow drove him away with a shotgun giving him fifteen minutes to depart then he returned to town and told of his costly hopes and plans to sue or enlist to forget the rendezvous.
