Former Tucson officer sentenced after auto theft plea
A former Tucson police officer, Tommy Curlin, 28, was given four years probation and six months of weekend jail time after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit auto theft. Judge Robert O. Boylston handed down the sentence following the May plea deal that dropped an arson with intent to defraud count. Curlin had been charged in 1975 with stealing a car two weeks after being fired and arraigned in 1976 on arson with intent to defraud.
