The American Farm Bureau Federation backed a war of 266,909,090 bushels stored on farms. The Buy a Barrel for Flour movement aims to enlist every housewife in America. President Bradfute of the Farm Bureau spoke for the storages plan, noting up to 6,000,000 could be made available under intermediate credit provisions to loan farmers for storing surplus. Loans up to three-fourths of market value with storage receipts as collateral. Wichita intermediate credit bank is lending $190,000 daily at 6.5 percent. Farm bureaus in 46 states with 7,596,000 members will cooperate. Several agents urged public to buy 1,000 bushels of wheat for future delivery.
