Pittsburg July 5 Andrew Carnegie once opposed stock speculation yet now holds a large block of United States Steel stock under the name Bertram Cutler a private secretary’s surname. He reportedly holds 123475 shares preferred and 2386 common and has not sold any since a market decline.

He alleges a sight seeing party to Prescott and a telegram from his wife, sent from the Great Northern hotel, triggering his discovery. The wife reportedly left Chicago with Ling’s group, and Ling allegedly lavished money and drink on her. Mrs Eades is now with her parents in Ottumwa, while Eades seeks divorce.
