In a prison campaign of publicity the meeting rejected a general strike July 4 and submitted the strike call to a referendum vote. Radicals were outvoted in the committee but the resolutions carried, including a referendum on a general strike and federal intervention. A delegate from Oakland opposed the impression that the meeting opposed the president.
Edmund S. Parker a banker of Lewistown Junction Pa died Tuesday night. He is survived by his widow and child of 44 North Tyndall avenue. The widow will leave Saturday night for here with the remains. The deceased was a Mason.
