Beed Missouri January 13 report says T B Holland president of the Holland Bank was targeted in an extortion plot. A boy delivered a plain letter demanding $10000 in legal tender and a staged drop along a 9:50 train route with a red light at two miles west Nichols. The letter warned silence and threatened harm if instructions were ignored. The carrier was questioned but denied knowledge. motive and mastermind unknown.
