Barcelona endures street battles as two regiments arrive and rioters clash with troops. Industrial paralysis spreads, essential goods vanish, and schools close amid heightened violence and a meat bread shortage.
Washington, Feb 19. During the House debate on the Indian appropriation bill, ranking minority member of the committee pressed for action. He cited an anomalous condition in the Territory with 393,000 white men having voice in government and urged Congress to set up a territorial farm government there.
Feb 19 report from W. Shing O. states the previous claim of liberty was premature. US agents' reports indicate the woman Miss Stone is likely to be released soon, with brigands delaying to ensure their own safety.

Major Amoranto, two captains, six lieutenants and eight Filipino soldiers surrendered along with 500 revolvers 66 rifles and 2000 rounds. Rhodes had hunted them for three weeksEnvironment starvation and supply destruction led to the surrender. Skeletons of five soldiers from the thirty ninth infantry killed in November 1900 were recovered.
In Bowling Green Ohio on February 19 Paul Gonger an employee of contractor Frank Gantz of Columbus was using a pick in a trench when warned of a nearby dynamite charge. He cursed and struck the explosive with his pick, causing a fatal blast that blew off his head.

Princeton students were arrested in Trenton New Jersey charged with malicious mischief for painting on a battle monument and several houses the figures 65 in yellow paint. They were released on $200 bonds.
