Tucson Franchise Granted for Electric Light and Gas
A city ordinance grants Joseph J. Henry and assigns a 25 year franchise to supply Tucson with electric light and gas. It sets rates not to exceed twenty cents per thousand watts, requires a 6000 lamp plant within nine months, and mandates ongoing modern plant upgrades and customer metering rights.
