Charles Haiware Johnson a longtime bank employee in Elkton and Aberdeen faced trial today on a murder indictment. Maj. William R. Kine, army architect and Brookhannyre government proving grounds supervisor, was killed last July as he prepared for a promotion to lieutenant colonel. State Attorney Metcalf urged a verdict of first degree murder as the case began.
