Head Waiter Shot in Seaside Park Hotel Inferno
In Seaside Park New Jersey Aug 22 head waiter Harry Gleason of the Berkley Armes hotel was shot by Bernard Hertzel head steward in front of about fifty guests. Gleason struck proprietress Mrs E Garner with a chair after threats to kill her. A bullet pierced Gleason's breast and another struck his suspender buckle. He wandered the hotel in a drunken rage until restrained by a local constable.
