Lammas Lands Rights Battle At Chelsea Stirring Parish
Chelsea residents sharpened their bid to regain Lammas Lands as parish officers pursued ancient pasture rights. A contested gate dispute involved Lord Cadogan, canal interests, and land rents, with villagers noting failed payments and repeated gate tampering. Local leaders praised Bower, Mullins, Faulkeer and others for vigilance, and a public dinner at Stadium Tavern will mark the proceedings.
