Fatal Rockstone Blast Kills Teese at Darlaston
On Thursday morning a fatal accident occurred at Darlaston where two men Teese and Wilkinson were blasting rockstone with gunpowder. After preparing the hole and placing the powder, a lit touchpaper was left over the hole and an explosion followed. Teese was killed instantly with severe injuries. Wilkinson and other workmen narrowly escaped harm.
