ROBBERY AT HEATON NORRIS AND GUNNERY ATTACKS

Wacam Pirness was convicted of burglary at Heaton Norris during the night of April. A watch, a pocket book, a gold chain and other items were taken after an assault on Samuel Sars. The prosecution, a Sunery brigads member, described a fierce struggle as two men attacked, searched pockets, and fled toward Didsbury. Buckwright and Saddler testified to pursuing and identifying the assailants, one wearing a dark jacket. The jury found Pirness guilty. judgment of death was recorded, likely commuted to transportation.
