Observance of the Sabbath and railway bills passhouse

In the House of Lords the royal assent was given to several bills including a Bull for punishing mating and desertion, a Marine Forces regulation bill, Manchester town improvement, Macclesfield Small Debts, Gloucester and Birmingham Railway, Bristol Gas, York Turnpike Road, and two others. Petitions for better Sabbath observance were presented by multiple bishops and peers, with tradespeople and churchwardens among the signatories. Debates covered railway bills, Evans letter issues, and Irish tithes. Church and public notices, adjournments, and motions on tithes and London Corporation were discussed as Parliament adjourned to Monday.

Essence of Ginger praised by royal warrant 1833

A royal letter from June 25 1833 commends Decima Woodhouse for sending two bottles of Essence of Ginger and forwards ten pounds in payment. The ad proclaims the remedy for cholera morbus and digestive issues, listing certificates from doctors and detailing prices and distribution through medicine vendors.
