Mrs William Miller died from a gas explosion on the Lewin Leighty farm six miles south of Lawrenceville. Her husband suffered severe burns but expected to survive. Ten 250 barrel crude oil tanks, the powerhouse and boiler house burned. The blaze started when the boiler ignited. The Osceola company leased the site and Miller was employed as a pumper.
