A Royal Blue limited train derailed near Springfield Illinois after a switch failed causing coal cars to block the main track. Mrs. John Musch of Virginia Illinois died. Several passengers including Mrs James Gardner J D Tippett and Mrs Wm Lynch are seriously hurt or internally injured with others sustaining various injuries. Hospitals treated the wounded.

A Miraculous Escape Near Jerseyville
