Dillon Wallace reports from Mexico where a religious ceremony took place in a public cathedral aisle with eight bridesmaids, the bride in lace mantillas and no gloves. Afterward a civil official joined the couple at the home of the bride's parents for the legalizing rite, with doors locked and a night of dancing and champagne.
A Chicago man accused heavy drinking is taken to Peoria to view many distilleries. His friend argues liquor abundance is unbeatable and urges quitting, joking that the distilleries run at night. The tale ends with the man boasting he has them working nights.
A woman orchestrated a series of false death notices at a Bronx address, repeatedly summoning undertakers to a house with no illness or death. Each time an undertaker arrived with their gruesome paraphernalia, sending the owner into escalating fright until police were informed for protection.
At a dinner honoring the sloop Au rora's victory from Portland to Rockland Vanderbilt mused on yacht definition. He quoted Camden lobstermen joking that a yacht is “an old tub filled with whisky and chicken and cigars” for a high old time onboard.

About 100 million dollars will be spent by iron and steel firms in the Pittsburgh district in 1910. Jones & Laughlin allocates 15 million, U S Steel 55 million, Republic Iron and Steel 6.5 million, Bethlehem Steel 6 million, and smaller firms 15 million.
