Pioneer Passes Away At 73 In St Jacob Area
Mrs Telitha Chance Shadwick, wife of George W. Shadwick, died Monday at her home near St Jacob at age 73. Born November 6 1832 on a Troy area farm, she married in 1849 and lived near Troy before moving to the St Jacob farm. Thirteen children were born, ten survive with spouses in Kimball Texas Piedmont Mo St Jacob Troy Anna Terre Haute and Kaw. She leaves 34 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Baptist for over 50 years she was known as a devoted wife mother and neighbor. Funeral from the Baptist church in Troy with Rev James Osborn. Burial in Troy cemetery.
