Wendler Couple Mark 50 Years in Quiet Family Reunion
Mr and Mrs Henry Wendler of the Marine road near Collinsville celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a Sunday family reunion. Born in Germany and St Louis respectively, they married in 1865 in Collinsville and have eleven children and twenty three grandchildren. The couple, aged 87 and 69, are longtime members of St Pauls Lutheran in the Troy area and were honored with hymns, a memorial address, and a bountiful repast.

Court orders return of funds in Lundak estate case
Miss Sophie Voelker of Collinsville is ordered by Madison county probate court to repay 800 dollars claimed as estate funds of the late Joseph Lundak. Administrator John B. Schroeppel filed the citation after noting Voelker received 1,850 dollars over ten years while they were companions. Lundak died March 26 leaving small bequests. no estate found beyond funds given to Voelker. Voelker seeks appeal to the circuit court.

The Merry Workers held an A B C bazaar in the Presbyterian church basement last evening. Fancy articles for sale and refreshments were offered under A B or C labels. Supper was served 6 to 8.
