Interurban Plan to Terre Haute and St Louis Declared Dead
The latest notes from Terre Haute to St Louis show the long distance interurban electric line is effectively a dead issue. Promoters and surveys halted between Effingham and Vandalia, with official sources and rival papers contradicting progress and citing internal disputes. The Troy franchise and any westward rights were not finalized, leaving the prospect of improvement as a faded dream.
