Bond Issues For Roads Under State Aid Plan

Counties plan to issue bonds and build State Aid Roads now, sharing cost with the State. If bonds of $1,000,000 are issued, annual interest would total about $20,000 for twenty years, costing property owners about 0 to 2 cents per year per acre for farms, while delivering immediate access to the road system and state maintenance guarantees. Governor Dunne and the Highway Commission support faster construction for broad social and educational gains.
