A violent tornado struck Montague Texas on Wednesday afternoon killing ten people including A P Earl and family members. Several businesses and many homes were demolished, with J F Clark Drug Store and Rowe Hardware among the losses. Hundreds of cattle perished and dozens more injured or missing. the storm lasted about thirty minutes.
