Double family tragedy shocks St Louis couple
In St Louis on February 3 George Ragsdale, intoxicated and embittered by family quarrels, shot his wife and two young children, then killed himself. Mrs. Ragsdale was shot through the neck with the bullet exiting at the mouth. He died later in hospital with a bullet wound near the head.

Explosion wrecks Hartville iron mills and town
An explosion at one of four powder houses at the Iron mills of Colorado Fuel & Iron Co. in Hartville Wyoming on Monday demolished the shaft house blacksmith shop and other buildings. Nearly every glass pane in town shattered with several houses unroofed and lifted from foundations. Only two men were injured as a fire of unknown origin preceded the blast.
