Preliminary survey begun for St Louis & Eastern interurban line through Troy
The Edwardsville Intelligencer reports the St Louis and Eastern Traction Company has begun a preliminary survey for an interurban line likely to pass through Troy. Projector W Crawford of Hillsboro has secured franchises in Collinsville Troy Highland Greenville Carlyle and may swing north to Edwardsville Maryville or Glen Carbon if ROW issues arise. Engineering firm Sheppard Morgan of Edwardsville leads the survey with a corps of engineers dispatched from Edwardsville.
