Industrial boom possible in Troy shoe factory creamery plans

The Business Men's Association pursued two proposals to spur Troy growth. A Mayer of Greenville aims to locate a shoe factory with $40,000 capital, stock held by Mayer and partners, and a $1,000 personal stake promising 20 percent profit. Joseph Ammermann of Lebanon seeks a $5,000 creamery stock company, with local farmers already showing interest. A broad drive, including a 22-member committee, backs an electric road project and railroad-area stock subscriptions, with progress updates due within two weeks. The report also notes the death of Kiesel, survived by wife, son George Kiesel of St. Louis, and daughters, with funeral held at Presbyterian church.
