April 26 Pine Bluff Ark reports list multiple deaths and extensive property damage as a tornado swept through eastern Jefferson County. Pastoria and Sheri suffered heavy losses with homes destroyed, a child possibly fatally injured, and crops and cabins demolished. Notably, Martin Sanders and Pleas Thomas households were wiped out, with Sanders' wife and Thomas's family among the injured. The storm disrupted communications hindering full casualty details.
A severe rain and wind storm struck Owensboro Kentucky on Monday afternoon. Rain fell in torrents for about half an hour flooding streets to a depth of a foot. Several residences and barns were blown down though no fatalities were reported. The farm house of G Thomas OBryan was destroyed and a child seriously injured. In Henderson and McLean counties substantial damage occurred to country residences and barns.
A tornado started near Monett’s west edge and moved northeast for two miles damaging several houses. One injury is reported, to Mrs. Tracy Rheinsmith, with a broken arm and collar bone as the storm’s width exceeds fifty feet.

Tornado Monday over Jefferson county killed two children and caused heavy property damage. In the town of Shirrell, many buildings were blown down as Pine Bluff residents report extensive destruction and loss.
