Would Buy Plant Offers to Take Over City Power

The Southern Windae Light and Power Company has submitted a formal proposition to Troy to take over the local municipal plant. Mayor Kinder will present the measure at the next city council meeting. The offer outlines two options including purchase with franchise terms or selling energy wholesale while preserving city ownership. The proposal argues for 24 hour service, modern wiring, and a shift to 2200 voltage with transformers to improve efficiency and growth.
