Balloon ascent ends in rain over Cincinnati crowd
Prof W N Donaldson led a balloon ascent from Hippo drome with Cincinnati girls. As clouds gathered, rain began as the craft drifted east then north, disappearing into the clouds. Passengers described a thrilling ride above the city and a swift, soggy landing near Westfork Road, with helpers aiding a safe descent despite wet clothing and ruined outfits.
