Reports cover a large town tournament, street planning debates, and local letters on farmers clubs, with light notes on visitors, nabbing a log of local events and a fire at a Kansas City home for orphans.
An informal gathering in front of Dr. Prowitt’s office in Lewisville on Saturday debated forming a farmers club or grange. W T Walls, W T Thurmond, and Cole Downs spoke earnestly about organization, implementation, and the region’s needs. A regular meeting was set for September 6 to pursue a permanent group.
