Lincoln County Bend Case Continues After Amendments

The Lincoln County bond case in the U S Circuit Court at St Louis concerns Vespasian Warner versus Lincoln County over accrued interest on bonds. The plaintiff asked to amend forty three counts to substitute J M McLellan as county agent, while the defendant argued it would prejudice trial. The court allowed the amendment and continued the case to the September 1878 term.

County Justice candidates named in April 1878 Herald

The Herald prints a discussion on County Justices for presiding and associate roles. W W Shaw is named for presiding Justice from Ninevell. For Associate Justice first district candidates include G G Wilson or Wm Nl Pricat of Hurricane, with J Miller Wilson of Clark also considered. L B Bitton is proposed as acceptable.
