Mrs. Robinson opens a large stock of millinery and dress goods for inspection by Trey ladies on Saturday April 10 inviting them to view this season’s novelties. A five year old boy nearly severed a finger with a cold chisel while playing in an ice house. Officers of Troy Lodge of Odd Fellows were publicly installed with Deputy Grand Master Alfred Bennett presiding. New officers named Lowie C Wright N G Geo W Colbert W G William Deaver secretary John McDonald treasurer. A teenager in Pike county, taken from Clark township years ago, bore a child and died soon after labor. doctor summoned only at extreme onset. Grand jury will consider the case.
The birth notice reports the arrival of a third child and second daughter to dred McElwee and Laura McElwee. Names appear as McElwee and JATK with Virgists noted as part of the infant’s full listing. The fragmentary OCR limits clarity on full given names and dates.
In Truxton on March 28 a ceremony joined P. Demines and Miss Alice Bustlek. On March 7 Mr. Newton Wilson and Miss Battle A. Dugarmne, both of Lincoln County, were married at the bride’s father’s residence in Hes, Dryden. Also March 2, 1975, Atterbury Cochran were wed by Rev. RP Firit to Mrs. D L Covlan in Chundy County Mo.
Renjenia Garland, infant daughter of Mrs. Alina M and the late Alin, died March 16, 1475, at her grandfather's residence in Matiechuster Via, likely from cholera infantum. The event marks a sorrowful local loss in the community.
