Tripoli City Slickers won the baseball championship of the world, this side of Readlyn, at Tripoli ball park, 5 to 4 over the Tripoli Sod Busters, the 1951 champions. Doc Krueger fueled the Slickers with two doubles as Walter Sommer and Bob Kuhrt supported the rally, reversing a 4-0 deficit with a four-run fourth inning and a decisive late surge.
