New Pastor Installed at Grace Lutheran Tripoli
The Rev. Alton C. Koengeter was installed as pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli during Sunday morning worship on October 17. He was ordained in 1953 and has previously served parishes in Prescott Arizona and Andover Iowa. Koengeter, a Michigan native, is a Capital University and Evangelical Lutheran Seminary graduate with studies at Wartburg Theological Seminary. He and his wife Florence reside in the local Lutheran parsonage. He succeeds the Rev. Arnold Thalacker who resigned to join Salem Lutheran in St. Paul.
