Tripoli City Council Weighs Building Code Adoption
Tripoli City Council meets in regular session on Monday October 11 at 7 00 p m in the council room to discuss and possibly adopt a city building code. Seefelds Record In Lutheran Hour Taping And Pageant
Marilyn Seefeld recently recorded in St Louis for The Lutheran Hour program Day by Day with Jesus. She provided original hymn improvisations and 60 second background spots on the electronic piano and traveled to Atlanta for Miss National Teenager Pageant taping. Fire consumes 40 acres of corn near Frederika
Frederika firefighters fought a blaze at the Lynford Wendt farm 3 miles north of Frederika, costing about 40 acres of standing corn. Tripoli and Fredericksburg departments assisted. The Denver Lions Club will canvass the Denver residential district on Monday October 11 from 5 30 to 7 00 p m. They will sell bulb packets containing two 60 watt two 75 watt and two 100 watt bulbs for 250 with whisk brooms for 150. Proceeds benefit the Iowa Light Saving Foundation.
