Bremer County Opens Trainable and Educable Special Ed Units
Bremer county plans expand special education to educate both educable and trainable youngsters. Educable students receive regular school type instruction with slower progress, while trainables focus on daily living skills and independence. The home type classroom in Tripoli aims to reduce institutional costs and promote future employability, with 4 units planned next year and capacity for about 40 to 50 students.
