The Tripoli eighth grade vocal department presents a stage musical adaptation of The Wizard of Oz on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gym. Tickets are 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for students. Available from eighth grade vocal students or at the door. No reserved seating.
A string of social visits, dinners, and gatherings from Fredericksburg to Waverly, Nashua, and Waterloo marks a busy period. Families such as Kleiss, Brase, Kalkbrenner, and Quade host relatives and friends, while public dining at Maple Hills and a John Deere tournament showcase community life.
Dianna Lee Osborn and Dan P. Strauser plan a June 9 ceremony at Faith United Church of Christ Tripoli. Dianna, a 1971 Patricia Stevens Career College graduate, works at the Waverly Chamber of Commerce. Dan, a 1970 Iowa State University BSME graduate, is employed by Bantam Koehring in Waverly.
