1961 Soybean Price Support Rules Explained by ASC
Bremer county ASC reports that the USDA requires producers to maintain their 1959 60 average acreage of serving and idle land in 1961 to qualify for 1961 price support on soybeans. Officials say the aim is to boost production on land used for crops in abundant supply rather than conservation land. National average price support for 1961 soybeans is set at 2.30 per bushel, 45 cents above 1960.
