Last Rites Tuesday For Henry Warnke Died June 22
Funeral services were held for Henry Warnke 83 who died Friday night at Sumner hospital after a 10 day stay. He suffered a heart attack in April 1955 and had farmed in Bremer Fayette and Tripoli areas. Survivors include his wife six children 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren with many relatives in Iowa. Services were at Rettig Funeral Home and Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli with burial at the church cemetery.

Mrs. R Schwarze Hurt When Tree Falls on Car

Funeral services were held at St. Peter’s Lutheran church for Fred H. Kurtt 71 of Denver who died last Thursday of a cerebral hemorrhage at Allen Memorial hospital Waterloo. The Rev. C F Hafermann officiated the service with casket bearers Walter Meyne C F Krueger Otto Gielau Edmund Kohagen Harold Kehe and Lawrence Heinemann. Kurtt born August 27 1884 in Bennington township Black Hawk county moved to Denver in 1909 and married Tina Schmidt in 1910. Since 1916 he owned and operated the Kurtt Shoe store retiring recently. He leaves four sons Erwin John Harold and Arthur and three daughters Frieda Mrs Waldo Gleason and Mrs Marie Meyne along with nine grandchildren two great grandchildren a brother Lewis and two sisters.
