Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Meier and families thank relatives and friends for flowers memorials food and cards after their mother and grandmother's death. They also thank Dr Weber Rev Selberg and lunch helpers for their kindness.

The Brandenburg-Krueger Auxiliary met at the Post Home with Delores Heinemann presiding. Ten members attended as Marlys Leisinger received a past president's pin and the group planned a July 21 steak fry for couples. A $10 donation to the Rapid City Disaster Fund was approved, and Leisinger won the door prize with Viola Rieck serving as hostess.

Mrs. Donald Zipsie hosted the Jolly Joker Birthday Club at her residence on Wednesday with Tornado 500 played by 16 members and 1 guest. Prizes went to several members and a lunch served by the hostess accompanied a group gift.
The Parsons College Wildkits finished third in the Iowa state championships held in Fairfield. Glenda Matthias of Frederika is listed as a team member, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Matthias.
The Bremer County Fair showcases three Fine Arts competitions including black and white drawings, oil and water color, sculpture and decoupage, plus wall hangings. Sewing awards cover garments from cast away clothing, knitted items, lingerie, coats, dresses, and coordinated play outfits. Milk Maid Magic Sweepstakes debuts with cash prizes in culinary classes. The Bremer County Farm Bureau picnic is set for Sunday July 30 at 12 noon in Sumner Park Sumner. Members are asked to bring a dish and table service. pop and ice cream are provided. Activities include games contests for kids and a softball challenge for adults. committees led by LeRoy Brocka organize the event for Bremer County members.
Tripoli hosts multiple games this month with Arnie's Top 3 and Dunkerton facing Tripoli. Results include Arnie's Top 3 1 Tripoli, Frederika 0, Sumner and Janesville visits Tripoli for a 6:30 p.m. doubleheader on July 22 and Waverly at Tripoli at 8:30 p.m. on July 25.
A two week day camp at Waverly Iowa offers activities from July 24 to Aug 4 with daily sessions 9 30 to 3 00 at Municipal Park shelter. Transportation from Tripoli may be arranged and parents should reply to Mrs Sue Syverson to confirm attendance.
